2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E
The Ford Mustang Mach-E is part hatchback utility and part performance vehicle. It has a crisp, aerodynamic style and includes some iconic Mustang traits. For the 2023 model year, Ford Co-Pilot360 now comes standard with every trim, and BlueCruise is also standard. Also, for 2023 the California Route 1 no longer comes with rear-wheel drive, and a Nite Pony Appearance Package is available for the Premium Extended Range and GT Performance Edition models.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Mach-E is the Select. It comes with 18-inch wheels, a panoramic glass roof, and keyless entry. Step up to the California Route 1 for 18-inch black-painted wheels, black exterior trim, and power-folding and heated side exterior mirrors. The Premium has 19-inch wheels, a hands-free liftgate, and acoustically insulated front windows. The top-level GT has 20-inch wheels, red brake calipers, a sport-tuned suspension, and a black grille. It also comes with a black-painted roof. The new Mustang Nite Pony Package for the Premium and GT adds black wheels and black exterior trim.
Engine (Power)
Ford offers the Mach-E with a 70-kWh standard range battery and a 91-kWh extended range battery. It also comes with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Rear-wheel-drive models have a single electric motor, and the all-wheel-drive models have two electric motors. The base Mach-E with a single electric motor and the standard range battery will get 266 horsepower, but this can go all the way up to 480 horses if you have the GT with the extended range battery and two motors.
Performance
While the horsepower range varies depending on the setup, none of the Mach-E models feel poky. The instant acceleration you expect from an electric motor is there with all models. Even the slowest will go from zero to 60 in just six seconds. The maximum driving range for the Mach-E is 312 miles if you have a full charge.
Interior
There's room for five people in the Mach-E. The Select comes with simulated leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a power-adjustable driver's seat. The California Route 1 adds heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, along with driver's seat memory settings, and you'll get a power-adjustable passenger seat added in the Premium. A 15.5-inch touchscreen sits in the dashboard of all models and works with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless charging is also standard, and all trims come with a portable 120-volt or 240-volt charging cable. If you step up to the Premium, it upgrades the stereo to a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen system.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E has a comprehensive list of standard driver aids. The Ford Co-Pilot360 suite comes with adaptive cruise control, front collision mitigation, automatic braking pedestrian detection, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. This bundle also has lane-centering and automatic high-beam headlights. The California Route 1 adds a 360-degree surround view camera, and the GT comes with a 90-day free trial of the BlueCruise hands-free driving system. You'll also get BlueCruise with the California Route 1, along with an automated parking system.
