2023 Ford Edge
The Ford Edge fits in the mid-size crossover market. It has two rows of seats and a spacious cargo area. For the 2023 model year, the ST trim gains an optional interior appearance package, and the SE and SEL trims now come with the Iconic Silver honeycomb grille. The SEL also has Iconic Silver fog light bezels. Here's a look at some more details for the 2023 Ford Edge.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Edge SE starts the lineup with 18-inch wheels, and it has LED headlights. You can also opt for the Black Appearance Package. The SEL has the same exterior features but offers the Adventure Package with 18-inch carbonized wheels, all-terrain tires, and black and gray exterior accents. Step up to the ST-Line for black exterior trim, 20-inch gloss black wheels, and body-colored bumpers. The Titanium has 19-inch wheels and a hands-free liftgate, while the sporty ST has 20-inch black painted wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, and a combination of black and body-colored exterior trim.
Engine (Power)
All the Edge models except the ST use the same 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine. It generates 250 horsepower and works with Ford's eight-speed automatic transmission. The ST is the trim with extra power. Under its hood, you'll find a 2.7-liter V-6 with 335 horsepower, and this powertrain works with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Both engines come standard with all-wheel drive.
Performance
The standard engine provides the Edge with plenty of power for everyday driving. If you want a more athletic feel behind the wheel, the ST's turbo engine is the better option. The ST also has a responsive steering system, strong brakes, and a sport-tuned suspension that will make you want to take the back roads for some extra fun.
Interior
There's room for five people in the Edge. The SE has cloth upholstery and dual-zone automatic climate control, and you'll get synthetic leather in the SEL along with power-adjustable and heated front seats. The Titanium upgrades to genuine leather, and the ST has front sport seats with silver accent stitching. If you add the Lux Package to the Titanium, you'll get ventilated front seats, and you can also get a panoramic sunroof.
Technology in the Edge starts with a 12-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a six-speaker stereo. The SEL upgrades the stereo to a nine-speaker system, and this trim offers wireless charging, a 110-volt power outlet, and navigation, depending on the package. You'll get wireless charging and a 12-speaker stereo as standard features with the Titanium.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Ford Edge comes with the Ford Co-Pilot suite of advanced driver aids. This bundle of equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic braking, lane-keep assist, pedestrian detection, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is optional for the SEL adding adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist. The Titanium comes standard with front parking sensors and offers the Co-Pilot360 Assist+ as an option. It also offers the Lux Package with a front-facing camera, Co-Pilot360 Assist+, and an automated parking system.
